I just wanted to share. Ever since I’ve been using Firebug, I haven’t spend those hours trying to find what was causing my !#@ element to have an extra margin, or to not show its border or whatever…
Have you ever feel lonely in front of your css file?
It’s really easy to use. Once installed, right click on an element in your page (somewhere on the screen) and it shows all the html, the css which applies to it and if you hover the description, it displays the boxes on screen.
I do highly recommend it!

Alex Rabe is a nice guy and has done a tremendous job on WordPress plugins. However, Nextgen gallery is biting all his time. Neither him nor me, would let down wordTube which is both very popular and a quality plugin.
That is why I’m now working on wordTube development. My first release was version 1.60 where most was updating for WordPress 2.5.
Next version will continue to integrate into WordPress 2.5: wordTube button will move to the media bar (then be accessible under any form of editor). It will also integrate tag management, enable Youtube and give a nice list of related media in the Youtube way at the end of each play.
Jeroen’s flash player is improving every day. It includes more and more stunning features.

The new forum is powered by bbPress which is both more powerful and more reliable.
Sorry for the previous posts. I’ll try to see how I can import tham from SF database in the coming days.
I’ve developped this theme from scratch, so it’s not finalized yet, still some details to clean.
PS: this new theme is also eeePC ready ;)

Features are:

  • lighter.
  • much less server resources used.
  • performances should even or beat current version.
  • no more of this wicked table to handle in options.
  • all non-core functions have been moved to a separate customizable plugin.
  • admin screen more in line with WP2.5 design.
  • thumbnails can be linked to nothing (link=n).

So far, I have implemented most of the current features. It misses mainly the random, the slideshow and a great part of the widgets.

It is still under development (alpha version), so if anyone would be brave enough to test it and give me some feedback, I'd be grateful.
